Easy-to-do Easter crafts: tips

Are you ready and ready to throw yourself among a lot of paper, scissors, glue and colors? Before reading the different proposals for Easter jobs also suitable for children, some advice. Any creative activity done with children, regardless of age and who has proposed it, must be done with lightness and joy. The final product is not important but the time dedicated to the children. Let’s not make them go into crisis, if the result is far from what we hoped for or if, being hasty, they do not finish the activity correctly. Above all, let’s get next to them when we know we have a few hours available, to prevent our intermittent attention from creating jitters or reproaches. Let’s make things clear: after finishing the Easter jobs, probably, the objects used, the waste material will have to be put back in place, we anticipate to the little ones that we will all collaborate also in putting in order. In addition, we also clarify the time factor: if the afternoon is busy with colored cards and glitter, it may no longer be possible to see a cartoon, play or go to the park. Even though it’s a playful time to spend together at the end of work, children may expect the usual routine and have a few whims, so it’s recommended to be transparent before starting. Last practical advice for the jobs: it is always advisable to make a sketch of what we want to achieve, reviewing in mind all the decorative elements we have or would like to use. This will allow us not to find ourselves, once the work has begun, devoid of ideas or confused about proceeding.

The bunnies reproduced with toilet paper rolls are certainly the best known. Among the easy Easter jobs to do, they are on the podium. Always beautiful, they allow you to indulge yourself in many versions. The eyes, whiskers and nose of the rabbit can also be purchased and applied with glue, if the child’s dexterity, for his age, is very limited.

Bunnies with baby food jars

Finally, apply cropped ears and whiskers.

Bunnies with clay jars

It is a very simple Easter job, often they do it even in the nests, which aims to recreate a nice container for storing the classic chocolate eggs. The work, in the most classic version, is made with small terracotta jars but, if we don’t have any, we can also use glass or tin jars or even a simple paper cup. The necessary changes slightly according to the version chosen, while the procedure remains the same.

Fill the Easter jar with colored wadding or straw-like threads, up to a few centimeters from the edge. Finally, insert the classic multicolored chocolate eggs.

Easter crafts, egg themed

Easter eggs, drawn and colored, are themselves to be chores. The three following proposals, on the other hand, are activities that see them as protagonists in a different guise. Again, these are simple tracks to encourage younger children.

Festoons for the bedroom

To be placed on the bed, on the desk or applied to the glass of the window, the Easter festoons with eggs are a simple and nice little decorative element! We can use different materials to make them, from felt to colored cardboard.

Needed:

  • colored cards
  • markers
  • glitter
  • twine-like thread
  • wall sticker
  • scissors and glue

Realization: freehand or with the help of a mold, draw and cut out the shapes of the eggs. They can be of the same size or different, at our discretion, the same for the quantity of eggs to be produced. Enrich them with felt-tip pens and glitter, to create different effects: draw, for example, stripes, circles, squares and so on. We cut the twine according to the length we want. After making sure that the work on the shapes has been completed on both sides, we pierce the eggs and insert them into the string. With the wall sticker, we attach the festoon. Repeat the operation three / four times, and attach the threads next to each other.

Decorative eggs for the door

This work can enrich the front door, outside, with a garland effect, or the walls of the children’s room.

Needed:

  • colored cards
  • glitter sheets
  • sequins and the like
  • waste fabrics
  • wall sticker
  • scissors and glue

Realization: after deciding which colored cardboard to use, to reproduce the shape of a large egg, proceed with drawing and cutting out its perimeter. Once finished, we draw a line, to divide the egg in half. On the top, cascading, we apply glitter or, if we prefer, we use glitter sheets. On the lower part, however, we reproduce flowers. For the stem, we use the fabrics, for the corolla the beads, for the petals, the colored cards. After checking that everything remains firmly in place, and that the Easter egg does not lose the glitter, attach.

Easter tree

We see more and more, even well made, to embellish the windows of the pastry shops and various shops, as soon as spring arrives. We can reproduce it too, in a simpler way, with the help of the whole family. For our Easter trees we propose you to use some jobs done previously.

Needed:

  • Easter jar
  • silhouettes of little eggs
  • colored ribbons
  • natural twigs
  • sponge for flowers
  • chocolate eggs
  • scissors

Realization: after having decorated our terracotta jar, take the sponge and insert it inside. Thread sprigs of various sizes into it. With the help of scissors, pierce the shapes of the decorated eggs and insert the colored ribbons. Finally, tie them to the branches. Once completed, place the colored chocolates, of various sizes and colors on the sponge, in order to cover it completely.
