All about French hair removal

Not sure what kind of pubic hair removal to choose? In this article we tell you about French hair removal: French wax!

Pubic hair removal is not limited exclusively to being a removal of unwanted hair, but has become a real choice of style influenced by personal needs, but also by skin type. There are many different types of hair removal, but one of the most widespread and well-known is certainly the French hair removal. Also known as French Wax, it is one of the most extreme epilations and differs significantly from other types such as the Brazilian and American. French hair removal is particularly suitable for those who endure a fairly invasive hair removal and for those who are not excessively sensitive on a dermatological level. In this article, we explain what French Wax is and how to make!

French pubic hair removal

A big difference in the choice of the type of hair removal is made above all by the choice of swimsuit: according to the style chosen for the summer, you can choose a type of hair removal, but not only, this also applies to underwear throughout the rest of the year. The French groin hair removal is one of the most common in the world and consists in the removal through waxing of all unwanted pubic hair, with the exception of a central strip of 1-2 cm. It is also known by the name Playboy Wax because it was widely used by the famous Playboy bunnies. The French waxing therefore completely removes the pubic hair, only in the front part, leaving only the central landing strip.

Simple, economical and effective: this type of hair removal is perfect for any style of costume, obviously even for the most high-cut. However, it is very important not to improvise, because the total removal of the hair from such a sensitive area through waxing can also cause significant skin irritation. If this is the first time you have done a French waxing, it is advisable to rely on a beautician who is experienced and therefore knows how to protect the skin. In fact, the risks that are run are: ingrown hairs, folliculitis, pimples and infections that can be avoided by waxing in the correct way, but above all by taking care of the skin before and after the treatment.

How to do it

We now come to the most important part: how to do the French hair removal. It is very similar to the Brazilian, both have a landing strip, but the main difference is that the French one does not remove the hair on the back. Making a perfect landing strip is not easy and professional tools are often required to obtain an impeccable result. In other cases, however, you can also use the DIY depilatory strips.

Caring for your skin before and after

The key to avoiding skin problems before and after waxing is to properly care for your skin. First of all, it is important to carry out a scrub that exfoliates the skin both before and after hair removal. This allows to significantly reduce the risk of ingrown hairs. Obviously the scrub after hair removal must be carried out after a few days from the treatment, to avoid triggering irritation, but it will certainly help sensitive skin to react better to waxing. Together with the scrub and therefore with exfoliation, it is essential to moisturize the skin properly: in this way, dry areas are avoided which therefore become more sensitive to irritation. In fact, well-hydrated skin is more elastic and less prone to skin problems.

In both cases, you can choose to buy natural products, cosmetic products or homemade products. A DIY scrub can be made using coarse salt, sugar, coffee or baking soda. To moisturize the skin with do-it-yourself products, on the other hand, you can choose ingredients such as honey and olive oil. It is therefore very important to prepare and then treat the skin in the correct way when choosing to do the French waxing. For the first few times it is entirely advisable to rely on a professional, while later, for the maintenance of the waxing, you can also try doing it yourself, but always paying the utmost attention.
