The legal battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt becomes more bitter, and comes the first defeat of the splendid actress
Angelina Jolie, 45 years old and is always the most beautiful: her loves
The legal dispute between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt continues, which for the past 4 years has seen the ex-couple contending for custody of the children in the courtrooms. In recent days, the beautiful actress has lost one of the battles she had been carrying on for weeks, the one that could prove decisive for the ongoing proceedings.
Let's clarify what is happening between Jolie and her ex-husband: the two ended their marriage in 2016, and immediately the first problems emerged regarding the custody of their six children. Brad Pitt has in fact asked to be able to have custody at 50%, so as to spend the same time with them as Angelina. The latter, however, opposed it from the very first moment, opposing shared custody. The battle thus moved to the court, where it has been going on for years.
In recent weeks, however, something has changed: the actress has in fact requested the change of the judge presiding over their bitter legal dispute, the magistrate John W. Ouderkirk – the one who, among other things, had celebrated their wedding in 2014. According to Jolie, the judge did not disclose her ongoing professional relationship with Brad Pitt's legal team.
The California Supreme Court decision arrived on Monday, November 16, and she denies any of Angelina's requests. As stated in the official documents, which were released by the Daily Mail, the court ruled that Ouderkirk will carry out the Jolie-Pitt battle because the magistrate had absolutely made known his involvement with the law firm that represents the actor. In addition, the sentence continues, Angelina Jolie was aware of the appointment of the judge and of his professional relationships that were the subject of the matter as early as August 2018, so her request is definitely out of time.
A source close to Brad Pitt revealed to the Daily Mail: “This is the judge that was originally proposed by the Jolie team. It's the classic example of someone trying to have the referee removed at the end of the game, because he knows he won't like the result. " Already at the time of Angelina's request, her ex-husband's team had spoken of a "subtly veiled attempt to delay the judgment on the long-pending custody".
In contrast, attorney Samantha Bley DeJean, of Jolie's team, told UsWeekly: “All my client asks is a fair trial based on facts, with no special favors extended to either side. The only way the litigants can trust the process is for all the people involved to ensure that there is transparency and impartiality ".
