This bread is affected
For reasons of preventive consumer protection, the product “Rewe Bio Das Pure 300g” of batch 15120244, EAN 4337256643214 with the best before date of July 24th, 2024 is being recalled, writes the manufacturer, Aerzener Brot und und Kuchen GmbH.

There is no information on the packaging about the walnuts it contains and a health risk for people who suffer from a walnut allergy or walnut intolerance cannot be completely ruled out if consumed.
Since some of those affected develop severe allergic symptoms after ingesting even the smallest amounts, nuts in this country are generally required to be labeled. Possible consequences for those affected if consumed include rash, itching, swelling in the mouth and face, difficulty breathing, nausea and vomiting.
In the worst case, there is a risk of anaphylactic shock, with nuts being one of the most common triggers for such emergencies. The first allergic symptoms usually appear shortly after eating the nuts.
According to the manufacturer, in order to avoid risks for people with walnut allergies, the affected product was immediately withdrawn from sale and anyone who had already purchased the bread could return it to the respective market. The purchase price will be refunded even without presentation of the receipt. (fp)
