Sources close to the pop star claim that he would like to do an interview with Winfrey to tell her version of events once and for all
Britney Spears: “I'm learning to be normal”. Its hell in pictures
Britney Spears would be considering the possibility of entrusting Oprah Winfrey with the story of her life. Or at least her version of events with respect to the problems of the past and the more recent legal events that have seen her protagonist together with her father.
It all stems from the great affection that the pop star has felt from fans around the world following the release of Framing Britney Spears, the documentary made by the New York Times that has been so much discussed in the past weeks.
The film retraces the stages of the singer's career, from the meteoric rise that made her an icon of world music to the self-destruction largely due to the treatment reserved for her by the media, to the battle for legal protection and the so-called conservatorship, with which his father Jamie had total control of his life, from a personal, professional and financial point of view.
Hence the birth of the #FreeBritney movement, with which fans have been trying to raise public awareness for years to come to the rescue of the pop star, deprived of the ability to make any choice without the control of her father, even on social media. It is here, in what should be the most direct channel of contact with those who have always followed her, that Britney in fact shows an image that is profoundly discordant with what is happening around her. Her Instagram dances where she shows a forced smile are almost creepy.
Britney Spears has never openly commented on the documentary, she has limited herself to writing cryptic posts on Twitter, but now sources close to her claim that she is ready to speak and tell her truth.
"Britney has been considering the idea of talking about her past, mainly because she doesn't feel that others should tell her story," an insider told ETonline. “She's always hated doing interviews, but if she ever takes that step, Oprah would most likely be her first choice. Of course, an interview is not already planned, but if and when it does, there will be conditions that Britney would set before speaking ".
At the moment these are only hypotheses, moreover reported by others. Everything will also and above all depend on how the legal affair will evolve to free her from the protection of her father. In the last hearing, Britney's lawyer asked to appoint Jodi Montgomery as guardian, who had already temporarily replaced her father who had suffered health problems in 2019. The request had already been made last August, but the court on that occasion confirmed the father's appointment.
Meanwhile, Britney has received a lot of strength from the closeness of her fans and some of her colleagues who have publicly expressed their support, such as Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian and John Mayer.
