On her 41st birthday, Caterina Balivo publishes a nostalgic and moving post, recalling a forgotten light-heartedness.

Happy birthday, Caterina Balivo! The well-known Rai presenter, who came to the fore thanks to programs such as Detto Fatto and Come da me, now judge of The Masked Singer, blows out 41 candles today. Born under the sign of Pisces, the famous presenter has been able to conquer a large slice of public and acclaim in recent television years, becoming in effect a leading face of state television.
This birthday is certainly different from usual, due to the grueling situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which we are experiencing. Last year, the presenter celebrated her fortieth birthday with a party in style, surrounded by her loved ones. This year, however, it is not possible. This is the starting point of the long and moving post published by the presenter herself on her Instagram profile, in memory of her past birthday: "When I was little I thought it was the date of the beginning of my old age. Instead it was one of the funniest and most exciting days of my life. I didn't know it was also the last day of lightheartedness, dances, songs and hugs … I went down into the groove that opened … I felt pain, anger and helplessness. I looked at all those who have lost everything, who are afraid of the future, who can no longer smile, who thinks that tomorrow will not make it. To them, first of all, my thoughts go on this day of celebration for me. I do not hide from you that I look at these photos of my past birthday and I am moved. But now enough nostalgia. I make up, I get dressed and I let my children celebrate ”.
The post attracted the consensus of most, especially friends and (former) colleagues of the presenter. Among these is Giovanni Ciacci, his right-hand man in the many years of experience at Detto Fatto, who commented with a handful of blue hearts. Jo Squillo also did not fail to appeal, offering her affectionate wishes: "T. B. T. B. = Many kisses all beautiful. Happy birthday dear Catherine ”.
It will therefore be a bitter sweet birthday, in which Catherine did not fail to demonstrate all her sensitivity and foresight towards others, turning a thought to those who have suffered and fought the most in this first and critical year of the pandemic. What she will feed on to combat the melancholy of the past will be the affection of her children, Guido Alberto and Cora, and her husband Guido Maria Brera (married in August 2014).
