Classic, but not only: denim lends itself to many interpretations. Here are the ones for autumn winter 2020/2021
Denim is a real must have, a wardrobe without even wearing jeans is almost unthinkable: whether it is the classic trousers, the shirt or a chambray dress, it is such a versatile element that it is almost an obligation to have it in the wardrobe ! Like every season, it is interpreted differently, both by the big houses and by street style. Here is a post dedicated to this season's trends and some denim-themed shopping tips for you!
Denim reloaded: on the catwalks
Far from being revisited in a classic way, this year denim is also reinterpreted in the form of blazers and asymmetrical skirts with flounces and rouches, as on the Max Mara catwalk. Small aside: I find the combination of blue, gray and denim to be wonderful!
Denim reloaded: street style
In a street style version, denim is interpreted in a fairly classic way, but with grit: so yes to jeans, especially with a straight cut, in light washes or indigo, combined with more particular jackets: rouches, applications and patches are the masters .
Virtually anything goes with denim in terms of color, it's hard to go wrong. The only advice I can give you, as always, is not to mix too much, to avoid the Harlequin effect.
Denim reloaded: shopping list
Flared jeans are a classic to be revisited in a modern way. The flared cut, to be worn with a nod to the 70s, is a winning bet.
Instead of the classic denim shirt, why not opt for a suit? To be combined with amphibians and leather biker jackets for a super rock taste.
What underwear to put under the denim? Jeans are an opaque fabric, so you can't see the linen: you can even dare a ton sur ton in shades of blue or indigo. A suit is fine (I recommend: coordinated), but a leotard also looks great!
