Ennio Morricone was born on November 10, 1928 in Rome. He is one of the greatest musicians and composers. In fact, Morricone is the greatest Italian conductor. Initially he gained training in the role of trumpet player, after which he devoted himself to writing music for over 500 films and TV series. He also gave birth to some important contemporary music works. During his career, Ennio Morricone has dedicated himself to various musical genres and this aspect has made him a particularly versatile character, highly loved and appreciated internationally. Morricone is in fact one of the most important composers in the history of music. His works have been used in over 60 films until obtaining numerous awards and nominations. Morricone began to devote himself to music since 1946 and has created over 100 classical works up to the present day which have met with enormous success. His great talent in the field of compositions made him a true representative symbol of the world of music in a short time, as he has always been able to transmit strong emotions and sensations thanks to his distinct sounds.

The composer reached the pinnacle of success when he made the music for Italian western films, or a path that has earned him a lot of fame and made him a real celebrity. This important experience within his career led him to work with renowned directors such as Duccio Tessari and Sergio Leone in films including Once Upon a Time in the West, The Mercenary, The Showdown and many others. Ennio Morricone does not only stand out within the Italian music scene, since his talent has led him to be a real point of reference for the Hollywood big screen too. Morricone has also dedicated himself to composing music for important American directors such as John Carpenter, Mike Nichols, Quentin Tarantino and Oliver Stone, thus increasing all his fame. This great artist has also produced music for various films that have won important Academy Award prizes, including Once Upon a Time in America, Mission and Days of Heaven. The composer's great fame led him to win the Oscar for Lifetime Achievement for helping to highlight the art of film music.

The musician was previously nominated five times, but had never achieved victory. Morricone was considered star number 2574 for the renowned Hollywood Walk of Flame. In particular, the year 2016 marked a very important period in his career as the composer won a second Oscar for Quentin Tarantino's film, also winning the Golden Globe. He also received two other Golden Globes, 3 Grammy Awards, 11 Silver Ribbon and 10 David di Donatello awards, but within his professional advancement there was also a Golden Lion and a "Polar Music Prize". Ennio Morricone is a member of the Nuova Consonanza association that deals with the composition of contemporary music on the Italian territory. Thanks to his enormous success, this important artist has sold over 70 million copies. Ennio Morricone is originally from a town in the province of Frosinone. His father, Mario Morricone, was a trumpeter and during his career he collaborated with various orchestras, while his mother, Libera Ridolfi, was the head of an industry in the textile world.

Already during his youth, Ennio discovered his strong passion for music and embarked on his studies at the Conservatory until he graduated in the role of trumpet player. Subsequently, he continued to devote himself to his course of study and decided to deepen also the choir direction and oral music. Once he graduated, he started playing the trumpet in numerous orchestras in Rome, thus obtaining the first notoriety. The musician is in fact appreciated and esteemed from the beginning by the whole audience. After obtaining this small milestone, Morricone dedicates himself to writing some compositions for films and at the same time collaborates for some orchestras and for the Italian record company RCA in the role of music arranger. Later he met Maria Travia and in 1956 the two got married. The couple had four children, three boys and one girl, named Marco, Alessandra, Andrea and Giovanni. The latter, also children of art, followed in their father's footsteps. Andrea is indeed a musician while Giovanni is a director and screenwriter. In 1958 Ennio Morricone was hired by Rai, but he immediately decided to leave the post as soon as he discovered that he would have no chance of making a career as he learned that his compositions would not be broadcast.
