In particular, it is preferable not to resort to the use of these infusions during the first months of gestation, since they could cause congenital malformations. In order to avoid this type of risk, therefore, the intake of these infusions is completely discouraged.

In addition, in order to avoid any problems, it is recommended not to exceed the doses of these infusions, always preferring a moderate intake of herbal teas during pregnancy. If there are particular needs, however, it is preferable not to exceed the two daily herbal teas, which are however sufficient to provide all the beneficial properties that are needed. In fact, one should not underestimate the sensitivity of a woman's body during this particular period of life. A moderate intake of herbal teas during pregnancy allows you to counteract specific symptoms related to this delicate period such as constipation, insomnia, vomiting and nausea. In addition, the appearance of varicose veins, fatigue and physical weakness may also occur during this stage of life. Therefore it is always better to drink herbal teas in a moderate way, in order to avoid running into unwanted side effects. In this regard, numerous researches are currently carried out to understand the virtues of herbal teas during the sweet waiting period.

The best natural remedies to bring the right feeling of relief are to resort to the intake after the first quarter of herbal tea from the marshmallow, chamomile, mallow, horsetail, lemon balm, flax, blueberry, mint, lime and sage. These are precisely herbs capable of guaranteeing antioxidant, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, they are very suitable during the period of gestation to counteract the feeling of fatigue. In particular, sage allows to make the moment of labor less painful. At the same time, linden was also known in antiquity for alleviating states of insomnia, thanks to its marked calming action. It is therefore the best advice for those who want to get pregnant, in order to live this period in a completely calm and peaceful way. Despite their many virtues, however, there are herbs that should be avoided during the pregnancy period, because of their contraindications which could lead to rather serious problems. Aloe, bitter orange, yarrow, fennel, juniper, mugwort, devil's claw, hypericum, licorice, ginseng, nettle, hops, celery, passionflower and verbena are herbs not recommended during the gestation period, since despite their purifying action they could cause damage to the fetus.
