Purifying yourself after the holidays is very easy thanks to the January diet that allows you to lose weight quickly and easily

At the end of the holidays, between endless lunches based on caloric and sweet dishes, it's time to get back in shape with the January diet.

To lose weight and deflate after the Christmas holidays, the goal is to purify the body, eliminating excess toxins. Such as? Focusing on detox foods, herbal teas and lots of water. First, avoid making the mistake that sooner or later everyone falls for: skip meals. Not eating anything at dinner or at lunch will not help you lose weight, but it will cause the opposite effect. Uncontrolled fasting causes glycemic spikes that increase nervous hunger and make us even fatter.

It is better to make healthy and regular meals, taking foods that will help us lose weight and purify our body. Always consume five meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks), choosing food carefully. Plenty of space for fruit and vegetables, rich in mineral salts and vitamins useful for wellness. Artichokes, chard, broccoli and cabbage are ideal for improving intestinal transit and filling up with fiber. Apples, pears, oranges and mandarins are also excellent for taking on so much vitamin C and strengthening the immune system.

Keep seasonings to a minimum, using only extra virgin olive oil. Also banned is salt, to be replaced with spices and aromatic herbs. In the January diet, herbal teas are the perfect allies of the line, useful for deflating the stomach and draining excess fluids. They are an excellent alternative to water and help fight hunger between meals. In the morning, treat yourself to an herbal tea with artichoke or chicory, while for dinner bet on a herbal tea with lime, lemon balm or chamomile.

How does the January diet work? For breakfast, enjoy a seasonal fruit and vegetable smoothie, accompanied by plain yoghurt and whole grains. For lunch, opt for minestrone with brown rice, while at dinner enjoy mixed vegetables and steamed cabbages seasoned with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
