A team of researchers have discovered how to make chocolate healthier by subjecting the product to electric shock
Chocolate is one of the most loved foods in the world. And now he is also healthier. In fact, scientists managed to reduce fat through electric shock during the manufacturing process. In other words, it is sufficient to apply an electric field when the product is still in a liquid state, in this way the viscosity is altered reducing the need for fatty substances such as cocoa butter.
The chocolate thus obtained has up to 20% less fat. Therefore, it is lighter, healthier but also tastier. The study was conducted by physicists from Temple University of Philadelphia in the journal of the American Academy of Sciences, Pnas.
As the researchers explained:
Chocolate is one of the most popular foods in the world, but unfortunately it contains too many fats which increase the risk of obesity. Although this problem has been known for decades, no valid solutions have been found at the moment.
Chocolate has excellent qualities: it is good for the diet, improves mood during the cycle and is aphrodisiac.
