Small news regarding the Channel 5 television schedule: during the day of Thursday 18 March 2021 there will be some changes involving two of Maria De Filippi's most important broadcasts, or Friends and Men and Women.
Both shows will not air, skipping an episode. To anticipate it is Davide Maggio, who explained the reasons why De Filippi would have taken this decision, in a particularly delicate moment for his production company, Fascino – the declarations of Pietro Delle Piane on Temptation Island, during its hosted at Live – It's not D'Urso, they started a lawsuit against the actor himself.
On Thursday 18 March, the daily appointment with Men and Women and the subsequent afternoon slot dedicated to Amici 2021 will take a short break. The reason is simple: this date has been chosen to celebrate the National Day for the victims of Covid, and all those who have faced (and lost) the tough battle against the disease will be remembered during all the broadcasts broadcast during the 24 hours. .
Maria De Filippi, however, records well in advance the episodes of her shows that are broadcast daily, a rule to which Men and Women and Friends are no exception. And being ready for the broadcast, the two appointments scheduled for March 18 do not contain any mention of the anniversary dedicated to the victims of Covid. There was also no possibility of adding it at a later stage, as it would have been requested by the Mediaset top management.
According to what reported by Davide Maggio, in fact, the broadcaster would have proposed to De Filippi to edit the episodes or to create a hat to be broadcast before the two appointments, but the presenter would have preferred to avoid these solutions. So Men and Women and Friends skip Thursday's episode directly, returning as usual the next day. It is not yet clear what will be broadcast in their place.
This is bad news for the most loyal public: if Men and Women are in the middle of a season full of surprises and twists, for Amici we have reached a crucial phase. In a few days the evening will begin, and the boys are in a state of excitement in anticipation of the new and very difficult challenges that await them.
