Maurizio Costanzo takes stock of his life, entrusting his thoughts on his career and marriage to Maria De Filippi to the pages of Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni. At 78, the journalist says he is satisfied with having arrived here in good health. But he can't stop:
Boredom is a constant, together with melancholy.
Of his wife he reveals:
I trust her. Despite the demographic distance, I think that between me and you was a happy meeting … We joke, we relax. My son Gabriele and I (adopted in 2004, ed.) Have dinner together and wait for her, because Maria is almost always late. Once upon a time, she was waiting for me.
Maria, with whom she has been married since 1995, is indispensable for him. For the future, the two made a promise:
Wherever she is, she knows that on her deathbed I want to shake her hand.
Costanzo then confirms that he helped Maria, made her do TV and recommended her, because he believed in her.
