Meghan Markle and Harry challenge Kate Middleton: after the Cambridge one, the Sussex Christmas card arrives
Kate Middleton, Sofia of Sweden and the others: the royals 2020 Christmas cards
Meghan Markle and Harry surprised everyone with an unexpected Christmas card that challenges the one of Kate Middleton and William with their children Charlotte, George and Louis. The Sussex, just like the Cambridge, took a pose to wish a Merry Christmas to fans around the world. After the farewell to the Royal Family and the controversy caused by the Megxit, no one expected a postcard from the couple.
On the other hand, the tradition of publishing a family photo with which to wish happy holidays belongs to royals. For years, the Queen, Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, but also Kate and William, have posed in front of the camera for the holidays. Just a few days ago the Cambridge had appeared in a tender Christmas card. In the photo, taken in Amner Hall, the family's Norfolk country residence, the couple were smiling, dressed in casual sweaters, along with their children George, 7, Charlotte, who is 5, and Louis, who is 2.
But no one expected that the Sussexes would publish their Christmas card too. Instead Meghan Markle managed, once again, to surprise fans with a shot that comes directly from the couple's California villa. Last year, the former Suits star and Diana's second son spent Christmas with Archie on Vancouver Island in Canada, discussing the possibility of leaving the Royal Family. This year, however, Christmas will be in the mansion that the couple bought and where they seem to have found happiness.
The card was published on the Twitter profile of Mayhew, a British organization that has always dealt with animals in distress. The photo is actually a color illustration and in the margin Meghan confirmed that she had made a donation to the association. The shot was taken in the garden of the Montecito villa and portrays Meghan and Harry playing with little Archie. The baby, who is already 19 months old, has inherited red hair from his dad and looks very happy together with Pula and Guy, the couple's two dogs. “We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” wrote the Sussexes.
"The original photo of the family was taken in the garden of their home in early December by the Duchess's mother, Doria Ragland – revealed a spokesperson -. The small Christmas tree, and the decorations that decorate it were chosen by Archie and the tree will be replanted after the holidays are over ".
