The final of "Miss Italia" airs this year in a decidedly unusual way, with an exceptional jury
Miss Italy, what happened to the winners
It is a completely different edition from the previous ones, with many novelties and an unprecedented mode of broadcasting: the final of Miss Italia 2020 will not be broadcast on TV, but this does not mean that the public will have to give up the most awaited appointment of the year.
In a historical period of changes necessary to cope with the most stringent security measures, even Miss Italy undergoes some changes to its usual development. The 81st edition of the beauty contest led by Patrizia Mirigliani will be held in a totally new form: no live television, as we have been used to for many years, but a streaming link available on the social pages of the event. The final, which should last about 90 minutes (it will therefore be an extremely reduced version), will only air online.
At the management, Alessandro Greco is confirmed again. Fresh from the incredible success of the previous season, which turned out to be a real party to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Miss Italy, the presenter did not hesitate to once again accept the prestigious assignment. And this year he will face new challenges, given the way the beauty contest is held. Due to the Coronavirus, the public will not be present and the entire event has undergone profound changes.
In a long social message launched in recent weeks by the Patron of Miss Italia, the desire to continue with a tradition now firmly anchored in our country had emerged: "The competition has existed since 1939, has 81 and will also be in 2020. December Covid does not stop us: we will have the new Miss Italy. (…) We will not parade on the catwalk as usual to show our beauty, which in any case we do not intend to keep hidden, but we will emphasize all our strength, we will give space to the individualities of each of our girls, their dreams, their aspirations and also to their weaknesses because from there the courage to face a woman's life “.
And again: “The woman is on the front line, always in the trenches, but always beautiful, always a woman. We support these female values, this piece of Italy that is well present: it hasn't given up for generations and will not give up ". With these splendid words, Patrizia Mirigliani had announced the 81st edition of Miss Italy, and now the time has come.
There are 23 Miss finalists from all over Italy, ready to compete for the victory: the final episode of the competition will be held next Monday 14 December 2020 in Rome, at the Spazio Rossellini of the multidisciplinary Cultural Center of the Lazio Region, and as we have already anticipated it will be broadcast only in live streaming. It is an important event, which will mark the passage of the crown from Carolina Stramare to the next Beauty Queen, who will represent the most beautiful in Italy for a year.
There could also be a welcome change among the jury, as TvBlog reveals. According to rumors, there would be a face particularly loved by the public: we are talking about Paolo Conticini, who took part in the last edition of Dancing with the Stars, enjoying great success (and winning a well-deserved second place).
