Miu Miu launches a project in collaboration with Levi's to give new life to denim, in the name of sustainability.
With Upcycled, Miu Miu has already demonstrated its commitment to a more responsible fashion in step with the times, but the vision of the Italian brand goes far beyond the reuse of vintage garments to give a second chance.
Today Miu Miu launches a project in collaboration with Levi's to give new life to denim, in the name of sustainability.
Miu Miu offers a reinterpretation of traditional denim garments in a playful and offbeat way to meet the tastes of the youngest, but always respecting the environment.
The new pieces born from the collaboration between Miu Miu and Levi's will be presented at London Selfridges and Shanghai IAPM in mid-May. From Monday 24 May, however, the collection will be available exclusively in 18 selected Miu Miu stores and at Dover Street Market in Los Angeles.
Upcycled by Miu Miu in collaboration with Levi's boasts testimonials of the highest profile. Actress Emma Corrin, and models Lila Moss and Georgia Palmer, are portrayed in the wonderful shots of photographer Johnny Dufort.
Styling? By Lotta Volkova.
Miu Miu thus manages to testify to Levi’s love for denim and style, but giving a new life to this iconic fabric.
Here the jeans are filled with diamonds, decorations, playful patches and underground abrasions.
The project also includes the historic 501 jeans model and the iconic Trucker Jacket, very fashionable in the eighties and nineties. These are unique pieces that never go out of fashion and that know how to express all the desire for independence of the modern woman.
The garments born from the Upcycled by Miu Miu collaboration in collaboration with Levi's know how to play perfectly with contrasts between masculine and feminine.
To seal this Miu Miu-Lewi’s adventure, there will also be the historic red label, which this time will be tinged with pink.
Miu Miu shows us once again that it knows how to reinvent the old fashion style of denim garments and bring them into the 21st century with great attention to current trends and themes.
