Pitti Uomo 86: VIPs, events, stands, curiosities
The 86th edition of Pitti Uomo (Florence, 17-20 June) takes place in the name of records.
First, the Florentine salon has never hosted as many brands as this year: 1090, plus 75 women's collections for Pitti W. 30 thousand visitors are expected. Second, for the first time Pitti Uomo was inaugurated at the Palazzo Vecchio by the Prime Minister. For the occasion Matteo Renzi has in fact returned to Florence accompanied by his wife Agnese Landini, more chic than ever with the pink lace dress. Third, at the same time at Pitti Uomo we will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of Florence Hometown of Fashion, the Florence Center for Italian Fashion, which involves many signatures from the Tuscan capital, from Gucci to Scervino.
Numerous events in the city from Andrea Bocelli's concert to Craig David's. And there is no lack of VIP guests. Here then a wild Pamela Prati who at 56 years turned up sheathed in a transparent black dress with a bare back. Serena Grandi is unrecognizable, weighed down and tired. Luca Argentero and Francesco Renga fascinating, while Alex Del Piero participated with Oliviero Toscani at the Woolmark Company press conference. Among the stands also a statuary Elena Santarelli and Cristina Parodi, elegant as always.
