Homemade potpourri
Have you ever tried making potpourri at home? Composed of dried flowers, dried citrus peels, spices and flavors. Enhance the potpourri with fragrant elements of your choice such as aromatic herbs and spices: cinnamon, cloves, star anise, cardamom, vanilla, rosemary, oregano, tarragon, thyme, mint, marjoram and sage lend themselves to the purpose. Put all the ingredients you have chosen in a bowl and add a few drops of perfumed essential oil to make the composition even more aromatic.

Natural fragrances for tea
You can prepare a DIY perfume by pouring a few drops of your favorite essential oil (vanilla, cinnamon, mint, star anise) into a spray bottle with water. Otherwise boil in a saucepan without a lid of water with cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom and fennel seeds, while the mixture boils, a good scent will be released in the kitchen. Another way to perfume the rooms is to grow aromatic herbs and put them where you want them to smell: for example, you can grow mint, sage, rosemary and oregano. How about a cleaner for glass, mirrors and various surfaces that cleans and perfumes? Prepare it with fresh or dried mint and lemon balm leaves to which you will add equal parts of the white wine vinegar, put everything in a spray container and use it to clean the house.

Perfumed bags and jars
In your drawers put fabric bags filled with lavender flowers and dried sage and mint leaves. Also prepare a glass jar without a lid with dried and chopped oregano, mint and marjoram leaves to be placed in the bathroom, near the shoe rack and wherever bad smells must be eliminated. Alternatively, fill the jar with 200 grams of coarse salt, 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of cloves and 2 tablespoons of baking soda, you will get an effective deodorant compound to keep where it is needed.

Against the smells of four-legged friends
Often as soon as you enter the home of those with dogs and cats you feel their presence even without seeing them because of the smell. What to do? If your pets peed at home, mix white pepper and chilli powder and sprinkle the mixture where there is a bad smell. Alternatively, leave to infuse in 1 liter of boiling water basil, oregano, mint and dried lavender flowers, then put the infusion where you want your animals not to do their needs, the aroma will discourage them from approaching.
