The Summer 2021 Plan provides workshops on the issues of legality, sustainability and environmental protection for the recovery and strengthening of learning. Here are some proposals from the redooc.com digital education platform
Summer Plan 2021: workshops on the environment and sustainability
With the end of the school and the beginning of the summer period, the Ministry of Education established the Summer 2021 Plan for the strengthening of basic skills and the recovery of sociability. Among the activities proposed by the ministry, there are educational workshops on art, music, digital and sport and courses on the issues of legality, sustainability and environmental protection.
On these last topics, the digital teaching platform redooc.com has developed various paths to raise awareness among young people on the issues of the environment and sustainability, with lessons full of videos, images, insights and interactive exercises explained.
One Planet One Future: lessons for the planet
One of the free itineraries available on redooc.com is developed in collaboration with One Planet One Future and environmental artist Anne de Carbuccia. The lessons present images, videos and texts documenting the installations created by Anne in her travels to witness the impact of man and climate change on the environment.
From oceans to glaciers, from endangered species to garbage: the testimony of artist Anne de Carbuccia is collected in 3 lessons (to which new lessons will soon be added) accompanied by interactive exercises explained to allow young people to reflect on a such an important issue as that of environmental protection.
Good morning? No thanks!
In the section on the Environment of the Redooc platform, free lessons dedicated to digital are also available, today a source of great opportunities but with important and often little known consequences on the environment.
The lessons, developed in collaboration with EduIren and The Good in Town, tell the impact of digital on the environment through videos, images, texts and insights. Thanks to the Digital Etiquette and the Manifesto for Digital Sobriety by Minister Roberto Cingolani, students will be able to learn how to use the digital resources at their disposal in a conscious and responsible way.
Sustainability Education: 17 Steps to Sustainability
Finally, the "17 Steps to Sustainability" path is available, which accompanies young people to discover the 17 Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. The lessons, one for each goal of the Agenda, present texts, images, graphics and video interviews with authoritative voices from the Italian scene. There is no shortage of interactive exercises explained to review and challenge friends and comrades on sustainability issues.
In addition, for the little ones, there is “The tale of the 17 heroes”, which tells the 17 Goals in a fairy tale, to sensitize boys and girls towards a sustainable future.
Thanks to the choice of reading font, Text To Speech, videos and images, all the contents dedicated to the Environment and Sustainability are accessible to everyone, including students with SLD and SEN.
