I was very scared, but nevertheless, they managed to get me a smile .. thanks to the family and real friends who immediately joined me from all over the world, but above all thanks to what in those two months has become my new family and that today it is of great support to me ”. His attacker, Eddy Tavares, a 29-year-old from Cape Verde, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crime of serious acid injuries to cause permanent damage. The judges did not recognize the generic extenuating circumstances required by his lawyers and added the aggravating circumstance of premeditation, cruelty and trivial reasons.
