Guillermo Mariotto reveals the real reasons why he won't be in the new season of "Il Cantante Mascherato" with Milly Carlucci
Dancing with the Stars, the winning couples from 2005 to today
The second edition of Il Cantante Mascherato will soon arrive on our screens, but we haven't talked about anything else for weeks now. The clues about the cast, which Milly Carlucci has begun to sow in recent days, are arousing great curiosity in the public. And until recently there were also doubts about the jury, especially after the exclusion of Guillermo Mariotto.
When, with the first rumors regarding the Rai1 show, the news of the famous designer's farewell surfaced, many wondered if some disagreement had arisen between him and Milly Carlucci. For years we have seen them collaborate fruitfully, first in Dancing with the Stars and then in the first edition of Il Cantante Mascherato. The sudden departure of Mariotto from the jury of this latest broadcast had therefore made the fans suspicious. After Carlucci's reply, who had tried to reassure viewers, now comes the reply from Mariotto himself.
In an interview with the weekly Nuovo, the designer explained that he made this decision by mutual agreement with the presenter, choosing to take a break after the long and exhausting experience at Dancing with the Stars – in fact, last season of the talent dance show was particularly challenging. Mariotto also revealed that he felt the need to rest a bit: "No disagreement with Milly, I'm just very tired. In times of Covid-19 it is very tiring and demanding to make television. And in the case of Il Cantante Mascherato also not very profitable ".
There is therefore no problem between Carlucci and Guillermo Mariotto, who will surely be back on TV soon. But the jury of the second edition of Il Cantante Mascherato will have to do without him. Just a week after its broadcasting, the broadcast has just found the right place as regards the jurors: alongside Patty Pravo, Flavio Insinna and Francesco Facchinetti, already confirmed for some time, will be Costantino Della Gherardesca. "In the jury he is perfect because he has a musical culture that serves to track down the competitors" – revealed Carlucci in an interview with TV Sorrisi e Canzoni.
The first episode of the show will air next Friday 29 January, but there is a small surprise: the presenter announced, on her Instagram profile, that on Saturday 23 January starting at 15:00 a special entitled Waiting for the Singer will be broadcast Masked. "We will see our masks in action and above all talking!" – revealed Milly Carlucci. A beautiful gift for all those who can't wait to find out more about this new edition.
