Second edition for SaluTO – Turin. Medicine and wellness
"Scientific dissemination is an extremely delicate and important mission that allows the population to be better informed and healthier: this is the purpose with which the School of Medicine of the University of Turin conceived SaluTO, together with the City of Turin and YEG! ". This is declared by Ezio Ghigo, Coordinator of the Scientific Committee of SaluTO 2020.
"The second edition, this year – continues Ghigo – is enriched above all by the participation of the Polytechnic of Turin, to tell how and how much biomedical technologies and artificial intelligence can exponentially improve the possibility of treatment and prevention of even the most serious and widespread diseases, from heart diseases to oncological ones. But we will also talk about genetics, ophthalmology and lifestyles, which are increasingly important in treatment and prevention. All themes that will be addressed in eight talk shows broadcast live by the Teatro Regio in Turin, the heart and symbol of the city. An all-digital edition this year in compliance with the containment rules of the contagion from Covid19, responsible for a pandemic that has made it even more evident to everyone how necessary scientific information is clear, accurate and free from fakenews for public health ".
The next edition of SaluTO this year will therefore live on the web, in compliance with the safety regulations for the containment of the coronavirus infection. The meetings between the experts will be available to the public thanks to the digital format Sipario! which will reconcile the best technology for dissemination via the web with the visual enhancement of the artistic and cultural heritage represented by the city opera house.
