Store cosmetics are often full of chemicals, but despite this, we often reach for them, feeling that we have no other choice. However, this is not true. Most cosmetics can be easily prepared at home. Antiperspirant is no exception to this rule.

More and more people choose natural products when it comes to care. All because they want to limit the amount of chemicals that end up in their body. This is usually a healthier, cheaper and much better solution for us. However, not everyone is still aware that most cosmetics can be replaced with natural alternatives. An example would be antiperspirant. It works the same, if not better, than store remedies. When it comes to store-bought preparations, they are often accused of clogging sweat glands. Additionally, they are often full of aluminum salts, which not everyone may be satisfied with. Homemade antiperspirants can be used, especially if you are struggling with ingrown hairs and skin irritations. They not only prevent sweating, but also moisturize the skin.

Homemade antiperspirant. Quick, easy and effective

But how to prepare homemade antiperspirant? We will need:

  • 1/4 cup of shea butter
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons of arrowroot flour starch (corn starch will also work)
  • 20 drops of lavender oil
  • 10 drops of tea tree oil

Prepare a water bath in a pot 1/4 filled with water. We put a bowl in which I melt coconut oil and shea butter. Remove from heat and add baking soda and flour. Mix everything thoroughly. We add our essential oils and combine with the mass. Place the mixture in a jar and set aside to harden. We keep it in a dry and cool place.

Homemade antiperspirant spray. It smells beautiful and refreshes

We can also easily prepare a deodorant spray. It combines simple ingredients that will allow our body to breathe and control unpleasant odors. We will need:

  • 1/4 teaspoon of sea or Himalayan salt
  • 6 drops of lime oil
  • 2 tablespoons of rose water
  • 2 tablespoons of high-proof vodka
  • 4 tablespoons of pure witch hazel

Combine the oils with salt in a spray bottle by shaking it vigorously. Using a funnel, add alcohol, witch hazel and rose water. Cap and shake thoroughly to combine all the ingredients. Spray on clean armpits and leave to dry. Stored in a cool, dry place, spray deodorant will last about six months.

Powder antiperspirant. This is how you prepare it

Another interesting option is antiperspirant powder with tea tree oil. To make it we will need:

  • 4 tablespoons of potato flour
  • 3 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 5 drops of tea tree essential oil

Pour the ingredients into a bowl and add the essential oil. Mix everything thoroughly. Pour it into a face powder box. Antiperspirant can be applied with a brush or a puff used for face powder.
