Anna Bernstein, Autentiments - about ballet flats and vintage Levi's jeans

Brand – opening of the season…

Scandinavian Hodakova. Jackets are inside out; bags made entirely of belts; shoes with soles above the shin are pure art and an example of when fashion goes beyond the usual perception. It is not surprising that celebrities have already appreciated it. Thus, Greta Lee was seen in a leather corset made from old equestrian boots, and Cate Blanchett appeared at the Oscars in a top decorated with hundreds of antique tablespoons.

The thing I will take from summer to autumn…

White oversized shirt made of wrinkled viscose. Both to the beach and on a date. Pair with blue jeans and a coat – the look will always look fresh and relaxed.

My favorite styling trick…

Combine large Chanel or Balenciaga earrings with stretched T-shirts and loose jeans. And also delicate shirt dresses with massive rough boots or boots for bare feet.

Most often you can see me in Levi's 501 Vintage jeans…

Which I wear paired with a leather jacket and suede leopard Chelsea boots from Saint Laurent.

A trend you can forget about…

Shoes with square toes. Ugly, too geometric, visually cuts off the legs – especially for short girls.

A trend worth paying attention to…

Layering of things of different textures. And this is not the first season. For example, wear a short chemise dress with lace (can be found in the Autentiments New Year's drop) with narrow classic trousers, and on top – an oversized leather or suede jacket or bomber jacket. Long and wide gloves will complete the look. Mast. Available in burgundy or dark chocolate colour.

An icon whose style always inspires…

Gilda Ambrosio, co-owner of the Italian brand The Attico. A combination of luxury punk, luxurious tanned legs and freedom to express taste.

An accessory is the best investment…

Definitely Chanel Vintage. Clutches, huge shoulder bags, classic 2.55, jackets, belts, jewelry – relevant at all times.

The thing I said “I’ll never wear” and then gave up…

Ballet shoes. I didn’t understand how to style before. In addition, there was a persistent stereotype that these were shoes for teenagers and little girls. Nowadays there is a real boom in ballet flats, in each brand you can find your own interpretation – with studs and stones, leopard pony ones, with satin bows. The favorite is Maison Alaïa, in the grid. The lightest and most comfortable shoes.

The best film about the fashion industry that develops a sense of style…

“Margiela: In My Own Words.” A documentary film that tells the biography of one of the most influential fashion designers – Martan Margiela, founder of the French fashion house Maison Margiela.

About author

I pass by being that person liable to duty, but who cannot resist the flights of imagination. I have always loved the legends, the myths and the stories of the old and distant times with my whole being. In high school I fell in love with the history of art and I made it the object of my university studies. Once I graduated, I dusted off an old flame: that of children's literature. I rediscovered the beauty and importance of illustrated books and books, where, to a quality text, images are added that give strength and enrich what is narrated with meaning. It can be said that illustrators often make real works of art! It was then that I decided to follow this passion of mine both as a volunteer, entering the ranks of readers born to read, and in my work as a librarian. I am a greedy devoured of illustrated books (I have an absolute weakness for the stories that have bears or wolves as protagonists!), I love simple stories that know how to strike and surprise. I hate pigeon-holed books in a specific age group and readers in a certain category of readings. I think everyone is different and deserves to choose (and be chosen by the books) without constraints, in complete freedom! [email protected]
