Binary code: Shiphra jewelry house presented a fine jewelry collection

The Shiphra jewelry house, which was born in 2018, is fraught with many unsolved mysteries and secret codes. “The house was founded by a young woman who put her creative ideas into jewelry and wanted them to tell stories through her voice,” the company said in a press release. These jewelry are born in a kind of alchemical laboratories, because they consist of an unusual innovative material – lab grown diamonds. For six years now, Shiphra has been working with laboratory stones, creating unique jewelry of the high jewelry genre. And now he’s trying his hand at commercial jewelry design.

The first experience was the “10” collection – a series of trendy products for every day. Long earrings and studs, chokers and bracelets on a thin chain, pendants and rings – all these items are united by a secret code, a mystical code of luxury. It consists of only two elements: a dash with a unit circle and a zero – the idea of the first and the infinite. This binary code can be used to record and save any information: this is how digitized works of painting, music, architecture and any other type of art are encoded in computer memory.

Shiphra jewelers combined one and zero into the harmonious number “10” and offered their own take on this number in jewelry made of white, yellow, rose gold and laboratory diamonds. Lab-grown round-cut diamonds are neatly arranged in sticks of ones and circles of zeros, in one piece the total weight of the stones exceeds seven carats. A pair of numbers follow each other in a chain in a clear sequence in the choker and bracelet; in a pendant or ring they are closely adjacent to each other, forming an inseparable pair. Sometimes a daring line bursts into the circle, disturbing the harmony of the whole. “10” jewelry can be easily mixed with each other, thanks to which everyone can build their own mysterious numerology. Someone will remember Boolean algebra, someone will remember the 10-year journey home of the mythical hero Odysseus, and someone will remember the 10 sefirot of Kabbalah, which determine the internal structure of the universe.

All new jewelry can be found on the Shiphra website or in person at the Moscow boutique on Petrovka, 5.

About author

I pass by being that person liable to duty, but who cannot resist the flights of imagination. I have always loved the legends, the myths and the stories of the old and distant times with my whole being. In high school I fell in love with the history of art and I made it the object of my university studies. Once I graduated, I dusted off an old flame: that of children's literature. I rediscovered the beauty and importance of illustrated books and books, where, to a quality text, images are added that give strength and enrich what is narrated with meaning. It can be said that illustrators often make real works of art! It was then that I decided to follow this passion of mine both as a volunteer, entering the ranks of readers born to read, and in my work as a librarian. I am a greedy devoured of illustrated books (I have an absolute weakness for the stories that have bears or wolves as protagonists!), I love simple stories that know how to strike and surprise. I hate pigeon-holed books in a specific age group and readers in a certain category of readings. I think everyone is different and deserves to choose (and be chosen by the books) without constraints, in complete freedom! [email protected]
