Here's a pro's tip to know if short or long hair suits you best

Do you want to change your look and wonder if you would do well to let your hair grow or if you should, on the contrary, cut your long hair? To find out if long or short hair suits you best, a hairdresser shares her tip on Instagram.

It's the eternal dilemma of almost all women: to have long or short hair? While some are fans of their length and wouldn't change it for anything, other women, on the contrary, regularly wonder if they should cut their hair (or let it grow). To decide, a hairdresser shares her tip on Instagram.

A professional's tip, using a pen and a tape measure

It's the hairdresser and stylist of the influencer Enjoy Phoenix who reveals her tip for opting for long or short hair. Océane Avakian explains her method in a video post on Instagram. Easy to make, it only requires a simple pen and a measuring tape or ruler. And now you are ready to find the style that best suits your features.

How to do it ?

Océane Avakian explains that you must therefore open the meter about fifteen centimeters, placing the metal end at the level of your earlobe, no matter which one. Then, place the pen horizontally under the chin and note the length at which it crosses the meter. If this distance is less than 5.5 cm, short hair will make you look more flattering. If, on the contrary, the distance is greater, long hair will be preferable.

Adopt the cut that suits us

This tip allows us to know what type of length suits us best, without being an exact science. Some will prefer short hair despite everything (or long hair!). The important thing is to feel good about yourself. And if you are still hesitant, you can make an appointment with a professional, who will be able to advise you in a more informed manner.
