Recall of merguez contaminated with salmonella

Beware of infections caused by salmonella

According to the government website Rappel Conso, all of these batches mentioned above are contaminated with salmonella. Due to the presence of this bacteria, it is recommended not to consume these sausages.

However, if you have consumed one of these batches, more or less serious symptoms may occur following a toxic infection. These symptoms result in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) that appear suddenly, often accompanied by fever and headaches, which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of contaminated products.

Caution: these symptoms may be more pronounced in children, pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly.

Furthermore, if you have consumed one of these batches of sausages and these symptoms have appeared, consult your doctor without delay. “If there are no symptoms within 7 days after consuming the affected products, there is no need to worry and consult a doctor” (…) “If the product must be cooked before consumption: cooking the products (hard-boiled eggs, pastries, poultry meat, etc.) through the core at +65°C helps destroy these bacteria and prevent the consequences of such contamination”specifies Rappel Conso.

If you wish, you can also return the lot you own to the point of sale. A contact number has been set up: 04 77 53 99 97. You will then be offered a refund until the end date of the recall procedure: June 15, 2024.

About author

I pass by being that person liable to duty, but who cannot resist the flights of imagination. I have always loved the legends, the myths and the stories of the old and distant times with my whole being. In high school I fell in love with the history of art and I made it the object of my university studies. Once I graduated, I dusted off an old flame: that of children's literature. I rediscovered the beauty and importance of illustrated books and books, where, to a quality text, images are added that give strength and enrich what is narrated with meaning. It can be said that illustrators often make real works of art! It was then that I decided to follow this passion of mine both as a volunteer, entering the ranks of readers born to read, and in my work as a librarian. I am a greedy devoured of illustrated books (I have an absolute weakness for the stories that have bears or wolves as protagonists!), I love simple stories that know how to strike and surprise. I hate pigeon-holed books in a specific age group and readers in a certain category of readings. I think everyone is different and deserves to choose (and be chosen by the books) without constraints, in complete freedom! [email protected]
