The brand is the discovery of the season…

Sorry, but the jewelry GOSHA KARTSEV. For over a year we have been creating graphic idols from silver, delving into memories, extracting and rethinking symbols of generations. This is my most complex and personal project of recent times. Pride! I can't think of anything else now. I am irrevocably carried away.

The thing I'll take from summer to fall…

my sweater. Not necessarily striped. I usually wear black. It's half cotton and is perfect for the off-season and layered looks. I make what I can wear myself. And I'd also recommend a T-shirt in the color of the Petropavlovsk sky with a print “KAMCHATKA”. I dedicated it to my homeland. Rough cotton with a washed print.

My favorite styling trick…

long sleeve under a T-shirt. Josh Hartnett in The Faculty as a reference. I can't help it, I love the pop culture of the late 90s – early 2000s. My jewelry brand is dedicated to all the alternative of that time.

Most often you can see me in…

basic hoodies from Entire Studios or Rick Owens, a stretched out Ksubi or GOSHA KARTSEV T-shirt, Raf Simons or 1017 alyx 9sm jeans and worn and repaired several times Lanvin Curb, Gucci Rhyton or Vans. Stud earrings and a belt from a rock bunker for 800 rubles. I'm a classic ankh. I need to settle down, but I don't have time yet.

A trend to forget about…

any bark. I can't accept them at all. It's so boring and insincere. I like stability and confidence in the style. Old Money is there too. You shouldn't seem to be – you should be.

A trend worth paying attention to…

quiet luxury, Although it sounds like “funeral services”, “simple and high-quality” is my favorite of the last few seasons. I melt from architecture and elegant textures. I regularly hunt for something inconspicuous and perfectly fitting with a correctness that many do not notice.

“An icon” whose style always inspires…

Mel Ottenberg. American stylist and current editor-in-chief of Interview magazine. The looks he created, for example for Rihanna, will forever remain in the history of fashion. I admire A-list professionals who dress simply and consistently, but create what is included in textbooks. I once met him on the street and was so excited that I could not convey to him the delight of the power of his talent. But I took a picture on film.

An accessory is the best investment…

iconic jewelry, bags and watches. I recently bought a Chanel in denim, dyed it dark and walk around with Vans, causing confusion at security checkpoints. The chain is pleasing to the eye and ear, but the model is not at all capacious. I am looking at a bigger one. And I will sell this one for the same price or leave it to my descendants.

The thing I said I would never wear and then gave in…

Surprisingly, they are ugg boots. I cursed them for many years and all this summer I flaunt them in cool weather or in the evening. And in winter they are my shift at the office. I dream of black ones. I imagine that I am a surfer, and so I justify this shame to myself. I do not recommend them to anyone. I still think they are ugly.

The best film about the fashion industry that cultivates a sense of style…

“Dior and I”. Fashion obsessives can always be tested with one tape. And if a person has goosebumps, and ideally sheds a tear, then the fashion industry will greet him with its cold embrace and even, perhaps, give him a chance to realize himself.

About author

I pass by being that person liable to duty, but who cannot resist the flights of imagination. I have always loved the legends, the myths and the stories of the old and distant times with my whole being. In high school I fell in love with the history of art and I made it the object of my university studies. Once I graduated, I dusted off an old flame: that of children's literature. I rediscovered the beauty and importance of illustrated books and books, where, to a quality text, images are added that give strength and enrich what is narrated with meaning. It can be said that illustrators often make real works of art! It was then that I decided to follow this passion of mine both as a volunteer, entering the ranks of readers born to read, and in my work as a librarian. I am a greedy devoured of illustrated books (I have an absolute weakness for the stories that have bears or wolves as protagonists!), I love simple stories that know how to strike and surprise. I hate pigeon-holed books in a specific age group and readers in a certain category of readings. I think everyone is different and deserves to choose (and be chosen by the books) without constraints, in complete freedom! [email protected]
