The Institute of Encyclopedia Treccani, also known as the “Italian Encyclopedia of Sciences, Literature and Arts”, published an album by Aurelio Amendola. The photographer is almost the same age as the largest national directory: the last, 35th volume of the first Treccani edition was published in 1936, and Amendola was born in 1938. The photographer is primarily known for depicting classical art, such as Renaissance sculptures.
The collection is called Edra Amendola; most of the works presented are photographs of interior design items from the Edra brand, made in Amendola’s recognizable style: black and white and a complex play of light and shadow.
