Summer means not only warm weather, but also an abundance of fruits, vegetables and plants. It is worth considering not only putting them on the table, but also using them in everyday care. We can successfully use many of them to prepare homemade masks, which will not only soothe, moisturize and nourish the skin, but also cool it and alleviate the effects of tanning. Best of all, preparing them is very simple and anyone can do it.

Cucumber mask. Moisturizes and cools the facial skin

The first idea will be to use cucumber. This vegetable has anti-inflammatory properties and is full of antioxidants and nutrients such as vitamin C and folic acid. Consisting of 96 percent cucumber water combined with other moisturizing ingredients will beautifully moisturize and smooth our skin. The cooling and anti-inflammatory properties of cucumber will help soothe redness and irritation caused by sunburn, rashes and insect bites. What will we need to prepare the cucumber mask?

  • One large, chilled cucumber
  • A spoonful of natural yogurt
  • A teaspoon of olive oil
  • A teaspoon of honey

Peel the cucumber, chop it and throw it into the blender. After mixing, squeeze out excess water and add the remaining ingredients. Mix everything until smooth and apply to a cleansed face. Leave it for about 20 minutes and then wash it off with cool water.

Watermelon mask. Perfect for hot weather

Another idea uses a summer fruit loved by many: watermelon. Not only eating it can make us feel nourished. This delicious fruit is high in water and antioxidants, so it can not only cool the skin but also increase the glow of our skin. It also contains valuable vitamins for the skin, such as A, E and B vitamins. It moisturizes, brightens, nourishes and, above all, perfectly cools our skin. What will we need for the watermelon mask?

  • 2 tablespoons of watermelon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt

Mix the ingredients thoroughly and apply to your face. Leave it for about 15-20 minutes and then rinse it under running water.

Avocado mask. It will moisturize, nourish and firm the skin

You can use avocado for a face mask that will not only cool it but also moisturize it. This fruit is rich in healthy fats and nutrients necessary to maintain skin health. Masks made from these fruits soothe and nourish the skin, giving it a youthful and radiant appearance. Additionally, avocado oil stimulates the production of collagen, which maintains the elasticity and firmness of the skin. To prepare we need:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

Peel the cooled avocado, cut it and put it in a blender. Add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly until a uniform mass is formed. Apply to cleansed face and leave for 10-15 minutes, being careful not to let it dry out. Then rinse thoroughly with cool water.
