Eau de toilette “1270” from Frapin
Since 2004, the French family brand, led by David Frossard, has been developing fragrances dedicated to the legendary French cognac, which it considers to be the embodiment of the “art of living” (art de vivre). As conceived by perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur, the unisex composition “1270” represents time travel. The complex, seductive aroma is full of fruity and floral shades typical of French cognacs. Fireworks of notes of candied orange, nuts, raisins, plums, cocoa, tonka beans and coffee are complemented by vine flowers, linden, pepper and spices. Oak barrels for cognac are reflected in the finale of the composition: notes of precious woods, white honey and sweet vanilla can be heard.
Perfume extract Il Piacere 2023 by Tiziana Terenzi
Another family brand, Tiziana Terenzi, appeared in 1968 through the efforts of Guglielmo Terenzi, who opened a small workshop producing candles for the interior. Today, his grandchildren, Paolo and Tiziana, are at the helm of the company, who have expanded the range to perfumes. The brand’s “nose”, Paolo, constantly experiments with notes, inspired by both Italian and Greek history and culture, and astrology. The fragrance Il Piacere 2023 was born thanks to the novel “Pleasure” by Gabriele D’Annunzio. The hero of the work, Andrea Sperelli, is a lover of everything beautiful in all its manifestations.
The aristocratic beginning of the fragrance is characterized by Bulgarian rose, bergamot from Reggio Calabria, Alpine wormwood, Mediterranean hedichium, Iranian saffron and Romagnola peach. The heart features jasmine sambac, pansies from Lake Garda, lily of the valley, guaiac wood from Colombia, Sicilian orange flowers and Chinese peony. The sensual base envelops an accord of ambergris, Australian sandalwood, Thai ylang-ylang, musk and Madagascar vanilla.
Zeta Eau de Parfum by Morph
The Italian brand was created by Neapolitan entrepreneur Andrea Angelino in 2013, who relied on unisex fragrances with complex pyramids. Zeta eau de parfum, created by the brand’s perfumer Douglas Morel, was no exception. The composition is based on Morel’s thoughts about the universe and the near future. What does it smell like? A sensual swirl of cocoa from the Venezuelan village of Chuao, New Zealand ambergris and bitter almond.
Eau de Parfum J by Costume National
Designer Ennio Capasa created the Costume National brand in 1986. Capasa got the idea for the brand name while looking at a French catalog of military uniforms. Later, in addition to clothing, the designer opened the Costume National Scents direction, under which fragrances began to be released that complement laconic images. J Eau de Parfum is an ode to Japan. The sakura flower dominates this complex composition. It is surrounded by fresh and sparkling notes of lime, mandarin and neroli, as well as seductive orange blossom and rose. The enveloping final chord contains rice powder, musk and cashmere.
Minted Eau de Parfum by Nomenclature
The American brand debuted in 2015. The brand works at the intersection of science and art; the compositions are based on popular synthetic substances around which perfumers come up with fragrances. Fresh and herbaceous, Minted (part of the Modern Eclectics collection) is like a cup of Moroccan mint tea. To achieve the desired result, in addition to the notes of mate tea, jasmine petals and papyrus powder were added to the composition, which smoothes out the briskness of Moroccan mint. Shades of violet and lemongrass add tenderness and softness to the aroma. A woody trail envelops the skin with notes of Atlas cedar and brown sugar.
Wondervogel Eau de Parfum from «27 87»
The brand “27 87” comes from Barcelona. It was founded in 2016 by Romi Kowalewski with the goal of producing progressive and unusual fragrances. A striking example is the composition Wondervogel, which is inspired by the thirst for new discoveries. To convey the wonder and excitement of exploration, the scent was infused with an exotic swirl of shiso, Moroccan mint and marine accord. The airy heart beats with a delicate combination of anise, fennel and white flowers. To emphasize the mood of the discoverers, perfumer Shyamala Maisondier came up with the idea of finalizing the fragrance with a duet of musk and sand accord.
Perfume extract Latte di Cherry from New Notes
Behind the young brand (appeared in 2022) is the Italian company Hic Beauty (Moresque, The House of Oud, THoO, Blend Oud, Jacques Zolty). Its products are based on high-tech molecules made from the finest natural raw materials, resulting in refined and reimagined notes that weave into dynamic and long-lasting extracts. New Notes perfumers pay special attention to the skin, calling it the final ingredient, since its temperature and composition affect the development of the aroma. For example, brand experts recommend using the delicate fruity composition Latte di Cherry for a party. A cheerful cocktail of notes of cherries, red berries, almonds, jasmine, spices, as well as vanilla, tonka beans, amber and musk will delight both the owner of the fragrance and those around him.
