Pre-filled tax return: where to retrieve it and how to send it

Starting from the second day of May, the document for the pre-filled tax return will be available online: find out when you have to send it and how to do it.

Pre-filled tax return: what is it?

May 2 is the date on which the possibility of sending the 730, i.e. the tax return model for natural persons, opens. The pre-compiled tax return is made available by the Revenue Agency to provide documentation, in part, already completed, to facilitate the tax payer. Typically, college expenses, funeral expenses, insurance premiums, social security contributions, and so on are entered.

Where to download it, how to use it and who to send it to

To access your pre-compiled 730 form, the taxpayer can go online to the Revenue Agency website, or go to a Caf or to a qualified professional who can do this step for him. To download the document you will need to have Spid, Cie or Cns (credentials of the public digital identity system, electronic identity card or national services card). Furthermore, starting from this year, it is possible to have the application for a pre-compiled declaration presented by a trusted family member, by signing a proxy that can be extended up to 3 years.

When should I dial 730?

The first useful date to be able to send the tax return is May 11, 2023; between now and October 2nd (assuming that September 30th is a Saturday), it will be possible to proceed with the submission, as that is the expiry date. However, regardless of the date the documentation is sent, the tax refund in the pay slip will arrive to employees starting from July 2023.
