For all salmon lovers, lots sold in Leclerc stores are being recalled. This product appears to contain traces of the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, the agent responsible for listeriosis.

The government site Rappel Conso has launched an alert concerning the recall of batches of vednus salmon from Leclerc. For your health, it is important to follow the recommendations.

Listeriosis, a disease that can be serious

Smoked salmon and smoked trout from the Fumage Artisanal du Sichon brand have been recalled due to the presence of Listeria bacteria. It is important to be careful and monitor your condition because this bacteria can lead to listeriosis.

According to the government website Rappel Conso: “People who have consumed the “products” mentioned above and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption. Serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly should be particularly attentive to these symptoms. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks.

For your health, it is recommended to no longer consume this wild smoked salmon. You can destroy the product or return it to the point of sale before the end date of the procedure: April 22, 2024.
