Listeriosis, a potentially fatal disease

If these batches are now prohibited for sale, it is because they are likely to cause listeriosis, a serious infection caused by the bacteria Listeria monocytogenes.

The Consumer Reminder site therefore invites consumers to “who have consumed the products mentioned above and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, to consult their doctor and report this consumption“.

Moreover,”serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur“, specifies the site.

For your health, it is therefore recommended to no longer consume these products by returning them to the point of sale or destroying them. It is possible to contact consumer service at 02 43 62 80 47 (or 03 22 87 86 77 for chicken shreds) and to benefit from a refund until the end of the recall procedure set out in 1 March 2024 (and until February 27, 2024 for the chiquetaille).
