The Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) reports on two cheese recalls on its portal “www.lebensmittelwarning.de”. The products are suspected of being contaminated with intestinal bacteria.

If necessary, seek medical help
An infection with EHEC or Escherichia coli (E.coli) can lead to diarrhea and accompanying symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and increasing abdominal pain. Fever can also occur. The course of the disease can be more severe in older people, children and people with weakened immune systems.
Consumers who have consumed one of the products and have corresponding symptoms are asked to consult their doctor and report this consumption.
It does not make sense to seek preventive medical treatment without symptoms. (ad)
