The manufacturer IGOR srl has launched a recall for the product “Italiamo Gorgonzola DOP, variety “dolce/mild” in the 200 gram pack. The reason for this measure: Listeria contamination was found in the cheese. The goods were sold at Lidl Austria.
The Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) reports on its website about a recall for the cheese “Italiamo Gorgonzola DOP, variety “dolce/mild” from the manufacturer IGOR srl. Listeria was detected in the product sold at Lidl Austria.

Affected by the recall is the item “Italiamo Gorgonzola DOP, variety “dolce/mild” in the 200 gram pack with the best before date (BBD) February 24, 2024. According to the information, Listeria monocytogenes (Listeria) was detected during an analysis.
The affected product was sold at Lidl Austria. The item can be returned to all Lidl branches. The purchase price will be refunded, even without presentation of the receipt.
Causes serious stomach/intestinal diseases
Listeria can cause serious stomach/intestinal illnesses and symptoms similar to flu-like infections.
In certain groups of people (infants, small children, pregnant women as well as old and sick people) serious illnesses can occur.
Due to this health risk, customers should definitely pay attention to the recall and not consume the affected product.
No other products affected
It should be noted that the product recall only affects the product “Italiamo Gorgonzola DOP, variety “dolce/mild”, 200 g” with the best-before date of February 24, 2024.
