Trays of chicken legs sold at Intermarché and Netto are recalled throughout Europe. They would be contaminated by the germ of Listeria monocytogenes.

After a first recall yesterday of Auchan chicken legs contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, today other references sold at Netto and Intermarché throughout Europe are being added to the list. Keep your eyes peeled.

At Intermarché

A first alert concerns the trays of yellow chicken legs X 4 in trays under a protective atmosphere approximately 1.2 kg of the Volae brand.

What is wrong with these products?

These trays are recalled throughout Europe, due to the Listeria monocytogenes germ detected, presenting health risks for the consumer.

The government recall site specifies:

“People who have consumed the “products” mentioned above and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption. Serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly should be particularly attentive to these symptoms. There listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weekss.”

These products must not be consumed, and must be destroyed or returned to the point of sale for a refund. This procedure will end on May 1, 2024.
