Pyrenees smoked trout with Île de Ré salt has been recalled due to microbiological non-compliance. Indeed, analyzes of the product revealed traces of the Listeria bacteria. This can lead to a risk of listeriosis for the consumer. Listeriosis is a bacterial infection that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks. People who have consumed the product could then suffer from fever, headaches and body aches, linked to the bacteria ingested in the smoked trout.
