Transformable down jackets, with prints, for severe frost: which ones to choose

Transformable down jackets, with prints, for severe frost: which ones to choose

With prints

Basic, long and short, with or without a belt – when you already have a universal down jacket in your wardrobe, it’s time to think about an unusual option. The most obvious, but often overlooked, is the printed down jacket. It’s interesting that this season the designers endowed the drawings with meaning. For example, BAON presented the capsule collection “From Teriberka to Kamchatka”, inspired by the fascinating nature of Teriberka, where you can see whales and northern lights, majestic rocks and waterfalls, and Kamchatka with its harsh volcanoes, emerald ocean waves, and thermal springs. All this is reflected in the natural colors of the collection – and especially in the print, reminiscent of the northern lights. And Choux sends greetings from childhood – a down jacket with a charming blue flower and a raincoat cap instead of a hood.

The warmest and most comfortable

These down jackets are good because they provide excellent protection from cold and windy weather. Cocos has released a 2-in-1 model, which resembles a coat with its wool upper fabric, and a down jacket with its waterproof and windproof features. Thanks to the ISOSOFT filler (soft and light as down, but twice as warm as conventional synthetic insulation), the Nadya winter coat from the Novaya brand will protect even in the most extreme cold: its recommended temperature range is down to minus 25–30. A special bonus: the down jacket can be washed in a washing machine. Another option is a basic warm pompa down jacket made from raincoat fabric. It is made of high-tech modern materials with warm natural down/feather insulation, and a high-tech RaftPro membrane is used for the best protection from bad weather.

Transformers

With a slight movement of the hand, these down jackets can be transformed, and sometimes turned into a completely different thing. The most obvious option is two-sided things. For example, the LIME elongated down jacket is made using double face technology from waterproof material: it can be worn with the dark brown or milky side. The KAAMBEZ_one transformable jacket can be turned into a vest, and thanks to the designer option on the website, you can create your own model – choose the color (white, black, gold or silver), lining, and accessories. Inside there is holofiber insulation, which allows you to move comfortably around the city at temperatures down to minus 20. The bottom of the Charuel down jacket is fastened with a zipper, allowing you to choose a length below the knee or up to the hip. Even more variations are offered by Monochrome – a short down jacket with detachable sleeves and a hood and snood included. In addition, backpack straps on the inside allow you to carry the down jacket over your shoulders.

Trendy

A down jacket as a loud statement? Why not. Especially when the cold and twilight drag on for many months. The UNKE brand took a creative approach to creating a down jacket. The warm sugrob model, designed for temperatures down to minus 25, is made of light waterproof jacket fabric with a stitch in the form of snow that has fallen in snowdrifts. Moreover, it is not only on the outside, but also on the inside – the lining is decorated with a pattern of falling snow, and snow was also “poured” into the chest pocket. Daisyknit released a down jacket made of metallic raincoat fabric, and the “Snow Queen” Limited Edition was made of genuine leather in a complex blue shade.

About author

I pass by being that person liable to duty, but who cannot resist the flights of imagination. I have always loved the legends, the myths and the stories of the old and distant times with my whole being. In high school I fell in love with the history of art and I made it the object of my university studies. Once I graduated, I dusted off an old flame: that of children's literature. I rediscovered the beauty and importance of illustrated books and books, where, to a quality text, images are added that give strength and enrich what is narrated with meaning. It can be said that illustrators often make real works of art! It was then that I decided to follow this passion of mine both as a volunteer, entering the ranks of readers born to read, and in my work as a librarian. I am a greedy devoured of illustrated books (I have an absolute weakness for the stories that have bears or wolves as protagonists!), I love simple stories that know how to strike and surprise. I hate pigeon-holed books in a specific age group and readers in a certain category of readings. I think everyone is different and deserves to choose (and be chosen by the books) without constraints, in complete freedom! [email protected]
