A train derails in Florence: all delays and journeys canceled on May 4th

Today, May 4, delays and cancellations of numerous trains were recorded: the reason lies in the derailment of a freight train in Florence. Here to get all the useful information to move between the stations.

Freight train derailment in Florence

Around 12:30 on Thursday 4 May, in Florence, near the Santa Maria Novella station, a freight train that was returning to the depot and with no passengers on board fortunately went off the tracks. Although the accident did not cause any injuries, there were (minimal) consequences, and they affected railway traffic. The railway traffic of Santa Maria Novella is blocked and for this reason the trains that have to pass through the Tuscan capital are 90 or more minutes late.

With a delay of between 3 and 59 minutes, Trenitalia reimburses 25% of the ticket price, which can be combined; always 25% for delays between 60 and 119 minutes; compensation then amounts to 50% of the ticket price in the event of delays of more than two hours.
