The Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) reports on the sausage recall on its portal “www.lebensmittelwarning.de”. The product sold at Rewe may contain foreign bodies that could pose a health risk. The affected sausage should under no circumstances be consumed.
Small transparent plastic shards in packs
According to the information, REWE Dortmund SE & Co. KG, Dortmund, is recalling the following product as a precautionary measure for reasons of preventive consumer protection: REWE house brand, prepack Lyoner with pepper and egg, best before date (best before date): March 31, 2024, packaging unit: approx. 100 grams ).
We strongly advise against consuming the affected product. According to the company, this recall is purely precautionary because it cannot be ruled out that there may be small, transparent plastic fragments in the packages.
A health risk cannot be ruled out with absolute certainty. The company therefore reacted immediately and immediately removed the affected product from sale. Products with different best-before dates are not affected by this precautionary measure.
Only markets in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia are affected. Customers can return the product to the respective store and receive a refund of the purchase price, even without presenting the receipt.
