Could Chat GPT be an expert in your skincare? An American journalist tested the advice of artificial intelligence and shares her opinion with you.

The chatbot executes and in the seconds that follow, it delivers two beauty routines: one for the morning and one for the evening. These are also accompanied by application advice.

The morning routine includes: cleanser, lotion, serum, moisturizer, and sun protection. The cost of these products? Prices which vary between 38 and 300 dollars.

The evening routine is made up of the same types of products. The chatbot also recommends the same cleanser and serum as those used in the morning. Only the sunscreen present in the morning routine is replaced by a local skin treatment in the evening.

Furthermore, ChatGPT recommends introducing each product gradually. Indeed, it is necessary to watch out for possible reactions of the skin. It is also specified to consult a dermatologist to treat skin problems such as rosacea, which the journalist faces.

The journalist’s opinion after a month of application

First, Ali Finney asked dermatologists their opinion on the routines prescribed by Artificial Intelligence.

And Dr. Melissa finds Kanchanapoo “the suggestions regarding ingredients and formulations are quite precise”. According to her, they constitute “a great starting point.” Dermatologist Shereene Idris seems to agree with her colleague. She adds : “It’s important to focus on your overall skincare routine rather than trying to combat dryness, hyperpigmentation and rosacea”.

With the favorable opinion of skin experts, the journalist then followed the protocol. At the end of the thirty days of testing, it indicates: “The cleanser soothed my complexion by removing dirt without stripping my skin. The toner was a nice bonus product that I didn’t usually use, leaving my skin feeling especially smooth. The serums helped brighten my skin as well as tone down the inflammation, leaving my complexion less red.
