He had been hospitalized in intensive care at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for 95 days, they had also tried in extremis to save his life by amputating his leg, but the 41-year-old actor died yesterday at only 41 years old. The news was reported by the New York Times, which also reports the farewell message from his wife, Amanda Kloots.

"My dear husband died this morning," the announcement of the woman, now alone with her one-year-old son Elvis. The woman did not specifically mention the cause of the death, but Cordero was hospitalized for over three months after contracting the Coronavirus.

God has another angel in heaven now. My dear husband died this morning. He was surrounded by the love of his family, who sang and prayed while he gently left this land.

I am incredulous and feel bad everywhere. My heart is broken because I can't imagine our lives without him. Nick was such an intense light. He was a friend to everyone, he loved listening, helping and above all talking. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss her in everything we do every day.
