Oat flakes in cosmetics. A cheap and simple mask

Homemade face masks are becoming more and more popular. They are not only natural, but also much cheaper. One of my personal favorites are oatmeal masks. Not only are they extremely easy to prepare, but they are also extremely versatile. They are suitable for all skin types, and various additives can enrich their properties. There are plenty of recipes for oatmeal masks, and each of them can help with something different.

Oatmeal itself is a common ingredient in cosmetics. All because they are great for treating skin inflammation and redness. They are considered a rich source of vitamins such as B1, B6 and E. Moreover, they are rich in zinc, iron and calcium. Oat flakes are believed to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antioxidant, antibacterial and anticancer properties. No wonder they are often used in cosmetics. Their regular use can narrow pores, alleviate inflammation, reduce the number of blackheads, nourish and smooth the skin, eliminate itching and exfoliate dead skin. Most importantly, oat flakes do not have any allergenic properties, so there are no contraindications to using them, even for allergy sufferers.

Oatmeal masks. There are plenty of possibilities

There are plenty of recipes for oatmeal masks. It all depends on what effects we want to achieve the most. If we need a mask for daily care that will soothe and soften our skin, a mask made of oatmeal and milk will work best. Thanks to it, we will get bright and young-looking skin. We will need:

  • one tablespoon of oatmeal
  • two tablespoons of milk
  • optional: cinnamon

Mix the cereal and milk in a bowl and add cinnamon if desired. Mix everything until smooth. Wash the face and neck thoroughly with warm water. Apply the mask and leave it for about 20 minutes. After this time, wash it off gently with warm water.

However, if we are looking for something for dry or mature skin, it is worth choosing a different mask. It will not only moisturize our skin, but also make it glow. To prepare it, we will need:

  • half a cup of oatmeal
  • egg
  • a spoonful of almond oil
  • half a banana
  • a spoonful of honey.

Pour a glass of boiling water into a bowl and add oatmeal. Mix thoroughly and set aside for 2 minutes. Then add honey and egg and mix until completely dissolved. Mash the banana and add it to the bowl. Finally, pour in the almond oil and mix thoroughly. Leave everything to cool. Then apply to a cleansed face and leave for 10 minutes. After this time, wash it off under running water.
