Preparing them at home is very simple, just have the appropriate ice lolly molds available. To make them nutritious, as well as refreshing, add yogurt, a fresh food suitable for everyone, adults and children.

To have perfect yogurt fruit popsicles you need to take a few small steps. For example, fruit should be ripe to obtain a creamy consistency. If you like it, you can decide to leave a few whole pieces in the ice lolly: from an aesthetic point of view it will be very nice to look at, but above all it will be good to taste.

The ideal yogurt is white, whole or low-fat, but if you prefer tart flavors you can also use Greek yogurt. Finally, sugar: if the fruit you choose is sugary, you can also avoid including it in the recipe.

  • 100 g low-fat plain yogurt
  • 220 g melone
  • 100 g strawberries
  • 50 g sugar


  • Blend the fruit with the sugar.

Yogurt is a low-fat protein source. Consuming it is important to keep the intestine healthy, because it rebalances the bacterial flora thanks to the probiotics it contains. And it didn’t end there.

  • It guarantees a high calcium intake, essential for correct muscle contraction. In particular, it is important to take it in adolescence because it promotes growth, but also in old age because it helps to counteract the onset of osteoporosis;
  • According to an American research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, a diet rich in calcium can promote weight loss;
  • the live lactic ferments that yogurt contains ensure good functionality, as well as the intestine, also the colon. Regular consumption of yogurt would reduce blood levels of C-reactive protein, responsible for chronic inflammation of the colon. It would also reduce cardiovascular risk.
