    To the sea – for immunity

    Bathing in sea water, and even walking along the seashore is not only a pleasure, but also a great treatment. By the sea you will improve your fitness, provided that you will not only lie on the beach, but also take full advantage of the charms of this place. Frequent bathing hardens the body, trains all muscle groups and sculpts the figure. They accelerate the metabolic rate, making it easier to cleanse the body of toxins. In addition, the waving of water is a sensational massage that stimulates blood circulation.

    On the other hand, a walk on the sea sand is a good foot massage and a cure for flat feet. Staying by the sea perfectly oxygenates the body, thanks to the oxygen-rich air, additionally saturated with healing elements. When foaming waves break on the shore, crystals of sodium chloride, magnesium salts and iodine molecules are released. This is how the sea aerosol is created, which perfectly nourishes the mucous membranes and supports their regeneration.

    It is also an excellent training for the immune system – it has to adapt to new conditions, so it triggers many complex adaptation mechanisms. After a holiday at the seaside, you will have fewer respiratory infections. But to really strengthen your immunity, you need to spend at least 10 days at the seaside.

  • Headgear – will protect you from sunstroke, overheating and burns.
  • A handy first aid kit – it must contain both medicines that you take constantly, as well as remedies for colds, fever, stomach problems (vomiting and diarrhoea), as well as hydrogen peroxide, plasters with dressings, regular and elastic bandages, and a thermometer.     Recommendations for holidays in the mountains

    High mountain conditions (1500-2000 m above sea level) are beneficial for patients with bronchial asthma. Almost allergen-free air causes a significant, sometimes complete improvement in health. But it will also help you if you often catch infections. A stay in the high mountains has a good effect on the condition of the skin of people with AD (atopic dermatitis), especially if they also have an airborne allergy.

    If you suffer from rheumatic diseases, mountain hiking is great for joints and muscles, as long as it is not too strenuous. A holiday in the mountains can alleviate anemia somewhat, because the higher you are above sea level, the less oxygen there is in the air, and this forces the body to increase the production of red blood cells. It can also be beneficial for stressed people, as long as they rest in quiet valleys. The mountains are also a good place for patients with hyperthyroidism.

    Holidays in the mountains are not for everyone

    Holidays in the mountains should be abandoned by people with heart diseases, e.g. heart failure, coronary artery disease, because changes in atmospheric pressure can not only worsen well-being, but also cause pain behind the sternum or make breathing difficult (low amount of oxygen in the air). In addition, the harsh mountain climate and too intense effort increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes in the mountains.

    Mountains must be avoided by people with high blood pressure, and people with low blood pressure may suffer from drowsiness, rapid fatigue, and dizziness. Due to the frequent changes in the weather, people suffering from migraines and meteoropaths will feel bad in the mountains. Pregnant women should also refrain from using them if they live in lowland areas, because pressure differences between the highlands and the rest of the country can increase the risk of complications. Exhausting hiking trips are also inadvisable for them.

    To the lowlands – for respite

    Lakes, rivers and forests are perfect places to regenerate your strength and relax your mind and improve your form. Bathing in the lake, sailing, canoeing, but also hiking along forest paths, picking mushrooms and berries or long bicycle trips are just a few attractions that await us in the lowlands. Their advantage is also the mild climate, which is not an additional burden for the body (2-3 days are enough for adaptation). In the lowlands, the atmospheric pressure is quite stable, there are no sudden weather changes, and in the forests – strong winds.
